Photography & Light Painting – Don Rosenberger
Don believes light
painting offers the artist a unique way to showcase their subject. He will share his influences on this art form
and show how to accomplish this type of photography ranging from the small
workbench shots to the grand landscape.
He will discuss the planning that goes into a successful photograph as
well as processing options to achieve your creative vision. You can see some of Don’s work at www.donrosenberger.com.
2022 Club Programs:
We
need your help! We are looking for one or several members to step up and help us
coordinate future programs. This does
not mean you have to present the programs but coordinate outside speakers and
club members who are willing to give us programs on various diverse
topics. If you are willing to help,
please contact our club president Elizabeth Whitcomb (Lizannwhit@gmail.com)
We want to provide programs that
are interesting to you! Please let us
know what topics would interest you for future meetings. If you are aware of any speakers that might
be of general interest to club members, let us know that too. Any input you can provide will help our
future meetings be interesting for all members.
Our future programs and meeting

Image Sharing:
Members
are encouraged to submit several (up to five) images to share with the club for
gentle critique. This is a great way to
get suggestions for improving your images and developing your photographic
skills. To give everyone a chance to share their
images during the year, we will select several individuals who will be featured
at each meeting. Other individuals may
also provide images which will be shared as time permits.
The following members will be
featured this month: Craig Kasseckert, Lenny Kikstra, Richard Knisbeck, Kristi
Kotvis, Mary Krajnak, Jim Kurovsky
Please
email your images to Elizabeth Whitcomb Lizannwhit@gmail.com ) by Monday, April 4th. This will help to
streamline the process of viewing member images. We look forward to seeing your
images.
Field Trips:
Photo field trips are a great way
for us to share our common enjoyment of photography, learn some new techniques
and share in camaraderie while getting to know our fellow club members. Our Outings Chairperson, Caryl Seduskak (Caryl.Sedushak@me.com)
is always looking for your ideas of some places you would find interesting for
a club outing. If you have any ideas of
places you would like to have us shoot, please send your ideas to Caryl. Better
yet why not offer to coordinate a field trip.
It's not hard - find a place you would like to go; pick a date and we
can announce it to the club.
Future Events of Interest:
If you
are aware of any events of general interest, please let us know so we can share
them with the club.
Photo Contests and Exhibits:
WACCO Spring 2022 Competition - May 7,
2022. Deadline for entry: April 17, 2022
The
competition offers an opportunity to enter your images in eight divisions, three
images per division. Divisions include Nature
and Open, Color and Monochrome, with Special Themes of Wisconsin Landscapes and
Tabletop / Still Life. For detailed
information on the divisions and instructions for entering your images, go to www.wicameraclubs.org and select “Competition”
and then “Competition Uploader.” This is
a great way for you to enter a competition and see how your images compare to
other Wisconsin photographers.
If you
are aware of any photo contests or exhibits, please forward the information to
Rick Vollbrecht at Rvollb@wi.rr.com
